Net profit reached 1267.703 billion billion yuan, down 13.66 percent. The total number of patents owned reached 1.4384 million, an increase of 10.27, and invention patents reached 644100, an increase of 12.04; total overseas operating income reached 7.2 trillion billion yuan, a growth rate of 19.21, and the total size of overseas assets reached 6.89 trillion billion yuan, a growth rate of 31.49. At the same time, the top 500 manufacturing companies in terms of operating income and net profit growth are mostly companies in strategic emerging industries, and the pace of strategic emerging business development is accelerating.

The number of ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing enterprises continued to maintain the first place, with 92 shortlisted enterprises. The electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry followed closely behind, with 52 finalists. In terms of distribution, the top 500 manufacturing private enterprises are concentrated in Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province, with a total of 246 enterprises in the three provinces, accounting for 49.2 of the total. Among them, there are 100 shortlisted enterprises in Zhejiang Province, 82 in Jiangsu Province and 64 in Shandong Province, an increase of 6, 0 and 3 respectively over the previous year. Four enterprises in Chongqing were shortlisted, including Xiaokang Holdings (159), Bosai Mining (175) and Zhifei Biology (215) in addition to Zonsen Group.
